An important element of risk assessment for hazardous substances is the occupational exposure limit value of a substance. The limit value allows you to check whether you are compliant and have sufficiently controlled the health risks. Limit values come in many shapes and sizes: TLVs, WEELs, DNELs, DMELs, SCOELs, BOELs, IOELs, MAK, BEIs, etc. On the other hand, there are also substances for which no limit value is available at all. This masterclass provides insight into how limit values are derived, and gives an overview of good information sources/websites, a hierarchy for selection, a simple method for deriving tentative limit values and practical examples.
This masterclass is the second of the Chemrade Masterclasses Chemical Risk Assessment, developed for Chemrade customers, partners and close relations who want to deepen and update their knowledge of Chemical Risk Assessment. There are no costs associated with this masterclass. Each masterclass can also be taken separately. Participants receive a certificate of participation.
